dining

Dining and eating are totally different experiences. People can eat off of their lap, but to dine in a space begins to mean something more. Bringing in details from the existing and new exterior architecture informed the design decisions made within the dining space. Louvers allow for a more private area, while still visually connecting the other public spaces. This space begins a transition from public to private within the apartment. These walls act as a divider and a connector, buffering the space. With this notion of moving from public to private guest and occupants realize the design and architecture begins to speak a different language of how the spaces function.
